UCAS Applications for Pakistani Students

Almost all students wishing to study for an undergraduate degree in the UK apply through UCAS, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. With over 50,000 courses at nearly 400 institutions, and only five university choices available per application, understanding the UCAS process fully and selecting the right courses is essential.

As an official UCAS centre, StudyIn provides Pakistani students with free, independent guidance on how to submit a high-quality UCAS application, from course selection and personal statement review through to offer management and beyond.

How StudyIn Supports Your UCAS Application

StudyIn’s advisors will work with you at every stage of the process. As part of our free service, we will:

  • Introduce you to relevant universities and courses suited to your background and goals
  • Help you select five UK universities and courses to apply to
  • Create and manage your UCAS application
  • Review and edit your personal statement
  • Add a reference to UCAS and submit your application on your behalf
  • Fully track your application once it is in the UCAS system

UCAS Application Fee

UCAS charges a one-off, non-refundable application fee payable at the point of submission:

  • Single course choice — £22.50
  • Up to five course choices — £28.50

Fees are subject to change. Always confirm the current figure on the UCAS website before applying.

UCAS Deadlines

There are several UCAS application deadlines throughout the year, varying by course and institution. Some competitive programmes, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary science, and applications to Oxford and Cambridge, have an earlier deadline in October. The main equal consideration deadline for most undergraduate courses falls in January. Applications submitted after the main deadline may still be considered, but on a first-come, first-served basis. A full overview of relevant deadlines for Pakistani students is available on our UK university application deadlines page.

UCAS Extra

If you received no offers from your five UCAS choices, or changed your mind about the courses or institutions you applied to, UCAS Extra allows you to add an additional choice to your application. UCAS Extra opens each February and runs until July. StudyIn can help you identify suitable Extra options and submit a strong application within the available window.

UCAS Clearing

UCAS Clearing is available to students who have been unable to secure a university place. This typically applies to students who:

  • Applied after the 30 June deadline
  • Received exam results that did not meet their conditional offer requirements
  • Did not receive any offers, or did not accept any offers made to them

Clearing opens in July each year and runs through to October. StudyIn advisors can help Pakistani students navigate Clearing quickly and identify courses with available places that match their qualifications and interests.
