At City St George’s, University of London we believe that exceptional academic and clinical performance should be recognised and rewarded.

International Excellence Scholarships of £1,000 to £5,000 are offered to outstanding international students applying for a place on selected master’s programmes in the School of Health & Medical Sciences. Scholarships are offered at both our Clerkenwell and Tooting Campuses, please see below for courses available at each campus.

You may be eligible to apply for a scholarship of £1,500 to £5,000.

For successful applicants, the total scholarship amount will be awarded to full-time students in the form of a fee waiver from the second fee instalment. For part-time students, half of the amount will be awarded in the form of a fee waiver in the first year and half in the second year of study (again coming off the second fee instalment).

Students applying to study at Clerkenwell Campus

Eligibility criteria

Applicants for the International Excellence Scholarship (Clerkenwell) must:

  • Have an offer of a full-time place on one of the School’s MSc programmes. Applicants for the PG Certificate or PG Diploma are not eligible

  • Be self-funded and not in receipt of any other scholarships (except the Graduate Loyalty Discount)

  • Have an unconditional offer before applying.

  • MSc Speech and Language Therapy

  • MSc Adult, Child or Mental Health Nursing.

  • The deadline for September 2026 applications is Friday 4th September 2026 at 12:00 (BST).

  • The deadline for January 2027 applications is Thursday 7th January 2027 at 12:00 (GMT).

Students applying to study at Tooting Campus

Eligibility criteria

Applicants for the International Excellence Scholarship must:

  • Have an offer of a full-time place on one of the following master’s programmes (applicants for the PGCert of PGDip are not eligible):

    • Applied Biomedical Science MSc

    • Biomedical Science MRes

    • Clinical Neuroscience Practice MSc

    • Genomic Medicine MSc

    • Global Health MRes/MSc incl online

    • Medical Ethics, Law and Humanities MA

    • Sports Cardiology MSc

  • Be self-funded and not in receipt of any other scholarships (except the Graduate Loyalty Discount)

  • Be entering your programme of study as an International fee paying student

  • Have accepted your offer of study on the Applicant portal.

  • The deadline for January 2027 applications is Friday 8th January 2027 at 12:00 (GMT).
