{"id":213272,"date":"2022-08-16T10:30:31","date_gmt":"2022-08-16T10:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/study-info\/tanzania-uk-study-info-eu-student-finance\/"},"modified":"2025-05-16T15:30:49","modified_gmt":"2025-05-16T15:30:49","slug":"eu-student-finance","status":"publish","type":"gsi_study_info","link":"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/study-in-uk\/study-info\/eu-student-finance\/","title":{"rendered":"EU Student Finance in the UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Funding for EU Students in the UK<\/h2>\n<p>Since the beginning of the 2021 academic year EU students are no longer eligible for home fee status at undergraduate and postgraduate level, although there are some exceptions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students who started their course in 2020\/21 or earlier will continue to pay home fees for the duration of their course, up to graduation<\/li>\n<li>Irish nationals living in the UK and Ireland will continue to be able to live and study in the UK and continue to be eligible for home fee status<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From August 1st 2021, all EU students not registered under the EU Settlement Scheme will require a <a href=\"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/study-in-uk\/services\/visa\/\">study visa<\/a> and be considered international for tuition fee purposes, meaning they are unable to apply for a tuition fee or maintenance loan.<\/p>\n<p>Financial support for EU students will be available via international student finance options such as a <a href=\"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/study-in-uk\/study-info\/scholarships\/\">scholarship, grant or bursary<\/a>, depending on your circumstances.<\/p>\n<h3>Tuition Fee Loan for EU Students<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re starting a course on or after 1st August 2021, you must have settled or pre-settled status under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/settled-status-eu-citizens-families\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU Settlement Scheme<\/a> to apply for a tuition fee loan.<\/p>\n<h3>Maintenance Loan for EU Students<\/h3>\n<p>A maintenance loan is also available to help with living costs whilst studying in the UK.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EU students who have lived in the UK for a least five years are eligible to\u00a0receive maintenance support<\/li>\n<li>The amount a student\u00a0receives is\u00a0dependent on where\u00a0they live and study<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance loans have to be paid back, but not until a student has graduated and is earning\u00a0over \u00a325,000 per year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional Financial Support<\/h3>\n<p>Extra\u00a0financial help and support\u00a0is also available to students if they:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have children<\/li>\n<li>Have\u00a0a disability, including a long-term health condition, mental-health\u00a0condition or specific learning difficulty<\/li>\n<li>Are studying <a href=\"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/study-in-uk\/popular-courses\/nursing\/\">nursing<\/a>, midwifery or other NHS related courses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Student Finance EU Help<\/h2>\n<p>Need further assistance? <a href=\"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/study-in-uk\/free-consultation\/\">Arrange a free consultation<\/a> with SI-UK London today to have your questions and concerns answered on EU student finance issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Financial advice and support for EU students studying undergraduate and postgraduate courses at UK universities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false},"study_country":[1140],"class_list":["post-213272","gsi_study_info","type-gsi_study_info","status-publish","hentry","study_country-study-in-uk"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/gsi_study_info\/213272","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/gsi_study_info"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/gsi_study_info"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=213272"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"study_country","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/tanzania\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/study_country?post=213272"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
