Services
Welcoming international students is a key priority at Manchester Metropolitan University, and a dedicated International Team is available to support students throughout their journey. Assistance is provided for any queries students may have before leaving their home country.
The University offers a range of support services once students arrive, including guidance on careers, finances, wellbeing, and learning. Free English language coaching and support from the Academic and Study Skills team are also available. The Student Hub serves as a central information service for all student-related matters, referring students for specialist support on accommodation, studying, finance, immigration, and welfare.
The Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing Service provides guidance through one-to-one sessions and group workshops, covering topics such as relaxation, stress management, and confidence building.
All students at the University are automatically members of the Students’ Union, which ensures they have the best possible experience during their studies. The Union runs the International Student Group specifically for international students at Manchester Met, organising social and cultural events, as well as trips across the UK

International students can access a range of accommodation options while studying at Manchester Met, from en-suite rooms in shared flats to bedrooms with shared kitchens and bathrooms.
