Overview
Lincoln Bishop University (LBU) has been in the historic heart of Lincoln for over 150 years, a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle and the old Roman city.
In recent years, the University has grown rapidly, expanding and developing its portfolio of courses into more exciting new areas. LBU consider itself an education expert and has been teaching it for over 150 years, but its teaching programmes now sit alongside an exciting range of other subjects, including drama, psychology, sociology and sport.
Lincoln Bishop University was awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework, beating two-thirds of Russell Group universities, and LBU's strength in teaching and learning is complemented by small class sizes and the personal approach, which supports students.

The National Student Survey found high satisfaction across the entire student experience at LBU, including learning, teaching and academic support, leading to an 85% satisfaction rate. This places LBU above the sector average and one of the top 40 universities in the country for student satisfaction.
The Graduate Outcomes survey saw LBU ranked 3rd in the UK for employability when compared to non-specialist universities, and 91% of Lincoln graduates are in employment or further study 15 months after graduation.
LBU's submission to REF 2021 reflects a period of significant growth in its research and knowledge exchange. There has been a four-fold increase in the number of staff submitted, a nearly three-fold increase in the number of outputs, and a four-fold increase in research income.
