London South Bank University was founded in 1892 and officially gained full university status in 1992. Practical education and employability are strongly focused on at the University, with its central London location providing close links to business and industry. It has four halls of residence which provide almost 1,400 beds, and international students are guaranteed accommodation as long as the application is received by the required deadline. London South Bank University's main campus is in Southwark on the South Bank of the Thames, a short walk from many of London's major landmarks. Waterloo and London Bridge are the nearest stations, and strong transport links mean that the culture and nightlife of central London are very easy to reach and be a part of.
