Overview

Acsenda School of Management is a private degree college in Vancouver, British Columbia. The School offers undergraduate degree programs under the authority of the Degree Authorization Act with the consent of the Minister of Advanced Education for British Columbia.

The two major programs offered by the college are- the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), which has been provided since 2004 and the Bachelor of Hospitality Management (BHM), which started in 2016. The BBA degree has seven concentrations: marketing, human resources, international business, accounting, general business, management information systems and financial management. The college is now also offering a Climate Action Certificate, a micro-credentialing in environmental awareness that introduces students to the development initiatives capable of creating societal change. 

The faculty members and industry professionals are the instructors at the college who provide theoretical and practical teaching methods to impart quality education to the students. They also have the opportunity for international internships, which makes their education and training genuinely global. Acsenda School of Management became a part of EduCo Education Group in 2016. This organization provides post-secondary education in four countries in 16 educational institutions.

Services

Acsenda School of Management offers students an option to concentrate on a specialized area of business to gain work experience and earn credit towards the professional designation while earning a degree. International students can obtain a co-op work visa, which helps them get relevant work experience in their chosen field of study. Students taking the degree programs of the college are also eligible to receive the Post Grad Work Permit, enabling them to work full-time in Canada after graduation.

Small classrooms and an inclusive and safe community make the college years of international students some of the best they have in the country. The faculty brings out a variety of business and cultural experiences to the classrooms so that students can learn how the global economy works and how they can conduct business in an international marketplace and work with teams in a diverse environment. Acsenda also has agreements with professional associations that allow students to plan their business degree as a pathway to a professional career in the business world. 

The student support and student life programs at the college are based on a wellness model that provides a wide range of activities and events for students' academic success through seminars and career readiness workshops. The college also hosts events, webinars, workshops, and conferences by inviting campus speakers and conducting smaller activity-based events.

Accommodation

Acsenda School of Management doesn't have on-campus housing options for students. It is advised that the students look for their own accommodation in and around the city. They can take up shared rentals or search for private apartments according to their budget and interests.

Location

The Ascenda campus is located in downtown Vancouver, easily accessible by SkyTrain. The city is also well-connected via biking and walking, from the public transportation system to the major areas and nearby cities. Acsenda campus has well-furnished classrooms having high-speed wireless internet, computer labs, a cafeteria, student forums and a library. Enjoying a moderate climate, the campus is surrounded by an urban environment that allows college students to live their study years fully.

International students can reach the college campus by landing at the Vancouver International Airport on Sea Island in Richmond. It is just 12 km away from Downtown Vancouver.
