Universities and colleges can achieve a gold, silver, bronze or provisional rating and the purpose of the new assessment is to help international students choose where to study in the UK.<\/p>\n<h2>What\u00a0are the TEF ratings?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gold:<\/strong> The institute delivers outstanding teaching and is of the highest quality.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Silver:<\/strong> The institute delivers high quality teaching and exceeds the national quality control for learning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bronze:<\/strong> The institute delivers teaching which meets the national quality control for learning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Provisional:<\/strong> The institute is taking part in the TEF but results have not yet been assessed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What are UK universities rated on?<\/h2>\n<p>An independent panel of experts assess each university or college based on written data and submitted evidence. Measured metrics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student satisfaction<\/li>\n<li>Continuation rates<\/li>\n<li>Employment rates<\/li>\n<li>Academic support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As with all <a href=\"https:\/\/gostudyin-dev.com\/laos\/study-in-uk\/study-info\/university-rankings\/\">university ranking and league tables<\/a>, students should use the TEF as a guide, not a rule. The TEF focuses on an institute as a whole, and is not subject or course specific.
