Part-time undergraduate degrees For Mature Students<\/h1>\n

Whether you’re in the process of choosing your next steps to prepare for university or you’re ready to apply for a degree,\u00a0Sheffield Universityhas\u00a0a long history of welcoming mature students.<\/p>\n

A mature student is somebody who will be aged\u00a021 or over\u00a0at the start of their course.<\/p>\n

As a mature student your application is guaranteed to be given additional consideration, relating to your relevant academic, professional and life experiences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Sheffield now\u00a0offers a number of undergraduate degree courses on a part-time basis. The course structure is the same as for the equivalent full-time courses, and part-time students study individual modules with full-time students.<\/p>\n

Instead of studying 120 credits a year for three years, part-time students spread their credits over a period of five or six years, depending on the subject they are studying.<\/p>\n

All of these degrees are also available\u00a0with a foundation year<\/a>. These courses are offered via the\u00a0<\/a>Department for Lifelong\u00a0<\/a>Learning<\/a>, and are for mature students (21 and over) who have been out of education for 2+ years.<\/p>\n
