Introduction to Supply Chain and Logistics
‘The supply chain’ encompasses every effort involved in producing and delivering a final product or service, from the supplier’s supplier to the customer’s customer. Supply Chain Management includes managing supply and demand, procuring and sourcing raw materials and parts, manufacturing and assembly, warehousing and tracking inventory, order taking, order entry and order management, logistics, distribution across all channels, and trucking and delivery to the customer.
Students will study both the theory and practical elements of how to operate an effective supply chain in a diverse and busy global market.
