Overview
Strathclyde Business School (SBS), part of the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, is a globally recognised institution known for its innovation, academic excellence, and industry engagement. Established in 1948, SBS has grown into one of the UK’s leading business schools, with international centres in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. It is among a select group of elite institutions worldwide to hold triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS, an assurance of the highest standards in business education.
SBS is also one of only five UK business schools to receive the Small Business Charter Gold Award, recognising its outstanding support for Scottish SMEs in areas such as leadership, internationalisation, and innovation. In the Research Excellence Framework, SBS was ranked 1st in Scotland and placed in the top 10 UK business schools for research quality, and 3rd in the UK for research impact according to Times Higher Education.

Strathclyde Business School provides a comprehensive suite of services to support student success:

- Entrepreneurship Support: Through the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Strathclyde Inspire, students can access mentoring, funding, and startup incubation.

QS World University Rankings 2026:
- Strathclyde rose 30 places, now ranked joint 251st globally out of 1,500 institutions—the biggest rise of any UK university in the top 300.
QS Business Subject Rankings 2026:
- Business & Management: Ranked #121 globally and #13 in the UK, up from #131 in 2025
- Marketing, Management, Business Analytics, and Finance: Specific programme rankings for 2026 are not yet published, but previous rankings (2023) placed SBS in the global top 100 for Marketing and Management.
Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026:
- Strathclyde is placed in the 351–400 band globally, continuing its strong performance in research and teaching.
SBS remains 1st in Scotland and top 10 in the UK for business research quality, and 3rd in the UK for research impact (based on REF 2021, still current for 2026 reporting).
Accommodation
Strathclyde offers a vibrant and supportive residential experience. Around 1,500 students live in the campus village, with an additional 400 students housed in nearby university-managed accommodation. All first-year undergraduate students are guaranteed a place in university housing.
Accommodation is arranged into flats with shared kitchens, fostering a strong sense of community. Options range from standard rooms to en-suite facilities, with easy access to campus buildings, libraries, and social spaces.

Strathclyde Business School is located in Glasgow, Scotland, a hugely vibrant and cosmopolitan city featuring a vibrant arts scene, cutting edge music, and an exciting nightlife. Students benefit from the highlands and islands which are located just outside of Glasgow.
