Overview

Founded in 1945, Henley Business School was one of the first business schools established in the UK and is now among the oldest and most prestigious in Europe. It is part of the University of Reading, a globally ranked institution, and holds triple accreditation from AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS, an elite status shared by fewer than 1% of business schools worldwide.

Henley is consistently ranked among the top 50 business schools in Europe by the Financial Times and is known for its practical, research-led teaching, strong industry links, and global alumni network. The School attracts students from over 150 countries and offers a wholly postgraduate portfolio, with particular strengths in finance, management, and real estate.

Henley’s Finance programmes are delivered through the ICMA Centre, a pioneer in financial education with deep ties to the financial services industry. The School also houses the Informatics Research Centre and the Department of Real Estate and Planning, both recognised for their interdisciplinary research and industry impact.

Key subject areas include:

  • Accounting: Advanced technical and strategic skills for professional careers.
  • Business and Management: Interactive, research-led programmes focused on leadership and innovation.
  • Finance: Delivered via the ICMA Centre, with strong employability outcomes.
  • Information Management: Industry-relevant training in data, systems, and digital strategy.
