If your <\/span>High School grades are a minimum of 85%<\/strong> and you have studied <\/span>Biology<\/strong>, <\/span>Chemistry <\/strong>and either <\/span>Mathematics <\/strong>or<\/span> Physics<\/strong>, then you can apply!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Do I have the grades to get into a UK Medical School?<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

International students can study medicine in the UK directly after Grade 12. If your average is a minimum of 85%<\/strong>, and your Grade 12 classes include Biology<\/strong>, Chemistry<\/strong>, as well as Physics<\/strong> and\/or Mathematics<\/strong>, then you can apply!<\/p>\n

If you have a strong first degree and a GPA of at least 3.2<\/strong> (not necessarily in a science field) you can also apply to Medical School in the UK. Students will require work experience in a hospital, care home, hospice or another care environment. Please send us your transcripts so we can let you know if you are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n

Aptitude Tests<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

The majority of medical schools in the UK will require you to sit an aptitude test before you apply. The UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) is part of the selection process of some UK medical and dental schools. It is an online test designed to test cognitive abilities, attitudes, critical thinking, and logical reasoning. There are four reasoning tests and a situational judgment test.<\/span><\/p>\n

The test is taken at your local test centre, with each subtest in a multiple-choice format. Past papers are not available but there are specimen questions on the UCAT website.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

SI-UK offers UCAT training to ensure you are well-prepared for your exams. As part of our <\/span>Medicine Service<\/span><\/a>, students will have the opportunity to attend a one-day online intensive group UCAT preparation course. Some UK Medical Schools accept the GAMSAT for their Graduate Entry Medicine programs. This test evaluates student ability and skill level in problem-solving, critical thinking and writing, focusing on their experience and knowledge of basic scientific principles.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whilst a science degree is not always a prerequisite it must be stressed that success in GAMSAT is unlikely without knowledge and ability in the biological and physical sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n
