Some places of business may request that you still wear masks but these are no longer a legal requirement in the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text3104135098__root Text3104135098---variant-4-body\">There are still some measures in place at UK universities to keep everyone safe. Hand sanitizers are available across many UK campuses, and some universities may recommend face coverings in certain indoor teaching settings.<\/p>\n<p>Regulations, requirements and restrictions are changing all the time so be sure to check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/uk-border-control\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UK government website<\/a> for the most up-to-date changes to the UK pandemic policy.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8211; Healthcare in the UK<\/h3>\n<p>International students enrolled at a UK university will have access to the UK&#8217;s National Health Service (NHS). During the Student Visa application students will enroll in the NHS with the Immigration Health Surcharge, a \u00a3470 per year fee that gives students access to NHS services without further charge (subject to a few exceptions, such as prescription charges in England).<\/p>\n<p>The use of the UK&#8217;s NHS means that international students that require medical care as a result of Covid-19 will receive healthcare services and in many cases will be able to visit on-campus medical facilities.<\/p>\n<h3>&#8211; Face-to-face Teaching<\/h3>\n<p>The UK government has removed all Covid-19 restrictions, meaning universities can teach all classes in person. University campuses and residences in the United Kingdom are also open as normal. Should students wish to defer their studies, they would need to apply for a new visa as their current visa would not cover the full period of study for the next course.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"panel panel-default\">\n<div class=\"panel-heading\">\n<h4 class=\"panel-title\"><a class=\"accordion-toggle collapsed\" href=\"#collapse2\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion\">What plans are currently in place for the 2023 academic year?<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"collapse2\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse\">\n<div class=\"panel-body\">\n<p>All UK universities are expecting campuses to be fully open, as they were for the previous academic year.
