Overview
Fast-track your future at the home of the two-year degree - and save both time and money.
The University of Buckingham pioneered the two-year degree, offering students the opportunity to fast-track their education and enter the workforce up to a year earlier than at most other universities. Students can also choose to continue straight onto a master’s programme, completing both an undergraduate and a master’s degree in just three years. This unique structure not only saves time but can also reduce living costs by an entire year.
With its small class sizes, The University of Buckingham ensures that every student receives personalised support. Each student is assigned a dedicated personal tutor, while academic and Student Services are on hand to help them succeed at every stage of their journey. This commitment to student care has seen Buckingham awarded Top 10 for Student Support (What Uni Student Choice Awards, 2025).
Students at Buckingham are taught by world-leading experts who are internationally recognised for their research and innovation. These academics bring their latest discoveries directly into the classroom, ensuring that students graduate with cutting-edge industry knowledge. The university also welcomes a wide range of visiting lecturers and international speakers, creating a rich and rewarding academic environment. This excellence in teaching has been recognised with a Top 5 ranking for Lecturers and Teaching Quality (What Uni Student Choice Awards, 2025).
Buckingham is home to a diverse and vibrant community, with staff and students representing over 100 nationalities. This dynamic, global environment allows independent minds to grow, collaborate, and thrive, making the university a truly unique place to live and study.
1 + 2 Foundation and Undergraduate Degree Pathway
The University of Buckingham offers a unique ‘1+2’ option (a foundation programme and undergraduate degree with honours in just three years). This is made possible due to Buckingham’s innovative term structure, but does not lead to an increased workload for its students on a day-to-day basis. Foundation pathways are available in Business, Law, Psychology, Digital Marketing, Computing, Economics, Accounting and Finance and Journalism.
