Overview

City St George's, University of London (Formerly St George's, University of London) is the only specialist provider of medical and health sciences higher education in the UK, providing education, training and world-class research. The institution is attached to St George’s Hospital, one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals, and was founded in 1733.

As well as a standard medical degree, St George’s offers a number of related subjects, such as Biomedical Science and Paramedic Science. St George’s boasts impressive employment statistics, with 96% of students across all subjects going on to employment or further study six months after graduating, with the proportion increasing to 100% for medical graduates.

An Advanced Patient Simulator allows students to practice their medical skills on real-life situations, working with computer-controlled mannequins that simulate a wide range of health problems. State-of-the-art labs also help testing a student’s ability to perform a wide range of medical tasks.

On 1 August 2024, St George’s, University of London merged with City, University of London to form City St George’s, University of London - now one of the largest higher education destinations for students in London. While the new institution operates under a unified identity, references to the legacy names may still appear, and the St George’s profile will remain in use for the duration of the 2025/26 academic cycle.

For the 2025/26 academic year, City St George’s is operating under a dual running model, maintaining separate application policies and procedures. Programmes and study locations for 2025 entry are expected to remain unchanged.
